The Wanderer / I Bighelloni is an entertaining, character-driven, picaresque roadmovie about the inheritor of a truck company who follows his call to become a commedia dell’arte actor, neglecting the other important calls in his life: the call of being a father, a son and a husband.
The goal of the main character is to be free, to feel no strings attached, to experience the pleasure of playing a variety of parts with no responsibilities reaching further then the next night, the next stop, the next performance. Whatever comes is good and will be turned into fun. Can he keep on doing so when he is forced to face responsibilities? To face the ones he ran away from?
